Hello @Interrex
Thanks for following up with the updated System Profile.
After review we see that there are permissions issues starting up services and want to through and repair sudo:

Hello @Interrex
Also wanted to add that we want to reset the 'nagios' User Account expiration date to "never".
Thanks,

Hello @Interrrex
As you can see, ndo module errors broadcast throughout the nagios.log and want to go ahead and downgrade to NDO2db.
### STANDARD DOWNGRADE OF NDO3
Then edit your /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg and make sure this line is uncommented:

Re: Nagios xi - upg v5.6.14 to 5.8.6 issues
Hi Perry.
Looks like we are up and running again, the system has started to alert me and the checks are updated again!
And before I started nagios I also did
I think I will let the server do all the checks and then verify tomorrow if everything looks as it should.
Do you want a new profile file or other logs from me ?
And the big question, what's the draw back with running ndo2db instead of ndo ?
Will I have similar problems on next upgrade, or should I do something to fix my installation?
Again, a big thanks to you @pbroste
Cheers

I did the downgrade without any errors. Here's the output from the installation.pbroste wrote:

Re: Nagios xi - upg v5.6.14 to 5.8.6 issues
Hello @Interrex
Thanks for following up, sounds like the database is syncing up, please let us know how things are looking and follow up with the updated System Profile.
The downgrade to ndo2db will provide an alternate solution if you see that the ndo-3 is not functioning correctly.
Thanks,
Perry
