Re: how to generate graph to monitor desik and ssystem perfo
It works fine.graphs issues is resolved for us
We completed all the configrations but as per user requirement they do not want to continue with old usernames and wanted to change it to AD directory user format.
Do we need to change all user occurences for usernames in contacts,contactgroups,hosts,(~200) config files in /usr/local/nagios/etc .
Or
Do we need to change all the files from /usr/local/nagios/etc/cfgprep/orig directory and do all the import and export process and configure them again.
PLease let us know which will be easier wand which works.

Definitely not this, these files are re-written every time you apply configuration through the UI.ravish78 wrote:Do we need to change all user occurences for usernames in contacts,contactgroups,hosts,(~200) config files in /usr/local/nagios/etc .
You could do this. Be sure you choose to overwrite when you do the import so you don't get a duplicate definition for each host/service.ravish78 wrote:Do we need to change all the files from /usr/local/nagios/etc/cfgprep/orig directory and do all the import and export process and configure them again.
You could also do this through the CCM interface and then apply configuration for the changes to take affect.

Re: how to generate graph to monitor desik and ssystem perfo
Thanks you . What you have suggested worked for us.Now we have got new users ids for the users login.
We want distributed kind of monitoring environment. In which we have total four servers. All are monitoring different servers specific to their location.
Our plan is to make one server to be master which can get data from the local montoring as well as from all the remaining nagios xi servers.
Users also should be able to login only to master server and can get data from any of the 4 servers.
Is it possible with nagios Fusion or NRDP/NSCA or something else?
Also do we need to purchase sepearte license for this one.Already we have go 4 licences for nagios xi.

Yes, through Nagios Fusion you can tie in multiple Nagios XI, Core, and in the future IM and NNA servers for one centralized monitoring hub.

We have taken 4 licenses for nagios xi.
Do we need seperate licensing for nagios fusion.

Yes fusion is a stand alone product and more information can be found on it by contacting sales@nagios.com, however your support contract "if you have one" covers fusion as well. If you have purchased Nagios XI you should also now be able to create threads in the customer support forums, if you are still unable to do this you can also contact sales with your forum username and they can grant you access.
