Yes I know, lazy, both the install script and moi:

Creating database structure...
psql: FATAL: Ident authentication failed for user "nagiosxi"
ERROR: PostgresQL 'nagiosxi' database schema was not created - exiting.
ERROR: Nagios xi database was not setup properly - exiting.

Jackson,

We're working the kinks out of the RHEL6 install as the EPEL6 are quite different than the EPEL5 repos. You will need to go rhn.redhat.com and authorize your particular instance of RHEL6 to use the Optional and Supplementary repos.

You will probably need to start from a fresh Red Hat install after doing this, as the repos and configurations that the install performed will hinder your future attempts.

Once you're working with a fresh instance, untar the nagiosxi tar ball, move to that directory, touch installed.yum and then run ./fullinstall . There might be a few packages you'll need to install manually, that should be able to get through the install.
