Very slow web interface in Nagios xi

Post by riahc3 »

Hello

I have 89 hosts and 966 services

The Nagios xi VM has

4 vCPUs
8GB RAM
60GB SSD
Ubuntu 24.04

Every time I click on something that goes to a new page, everything is not responsive and it takes a few seconds.

I read the improving performance article but nothing seems to do anything.

The only thing I havent done is a RAM disk: I can increase the specs of the machine but it seems a bit overboard for this.

Can anyone tell me what to check? Maybe I missed something obvious and its a easy fix.

Thank youy

Thanks for reaching out,

Do you know what the load on the system is? You can use a tool like htop to check this. Otherwise, maybe it's a network connection speed issue? Which theme are you using that's experiencing the slow page loads and is it different between Modern and Neptune?

Hello,

Load doesnt seem to be high

That being said, If I take a look at top, I do see this:

So it does seem there are things that spike the system....

How can I reduce this?

Hi @riahc3,

Thank you for providing that information. It seems odd that you have all of those php threads running.

We will do our best to help you in this forum, but you may get a faster resolution by opening up a support ticket here: https://support.nagios.com/
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
