Nagios xi Performance Graph Timeline
When in Nagios xi UI looking at performance graphs there is a pulldown for time options available to the user. 4 hours, 24 hours, one week .... How can we alter this list to include additional options? I found the pnp/config.php which appears it may be related but making changes to this file and restarting nagios, httpd, npcd has not resulted in any changes.

Those are not currently modifiable as they are hardcoded in the source. We do not recommend that you change the source code as the changes will be reverted when you upgrade xi. I can submit a feature request on your behalf requesting they add the ability to adjust them if you'd like?

So just to confirm there is no way for a user to see a performance graph of a specific service with the ability to export the 5minute step data without using those statically defined time periods?

Hi @dh0125e,
Helping Sean out with this support case. That's correct. As mentioned, those time periods are coded in the source. We can put in a feature request for this if you'd like. Please let us know.
A possible workaround would be to export the RRD files for your own analysis.
Regards,
Benjamin

Can an RFE be opened to make this customizable please? It should have preset timelines but allow the end user to pick a start/stop time as well.

Hi dh0125e,
I'll get a feature request submitted, please keep in mind the decision as to implement this or not is up to the product team.
Another option is to go to Home > Graphs > Graph Explorer, and then select the Scalable Performance Graph tab. Here you can filter down on the desired host or service and select a custom time period. Let me know if that works for you.

Benjamin
