How to add Hosts Statistics views

Post by lgitten »

My Monitoring Local Server Statistics are automatically displayed on main "Dashboard" and "Home" tags.
How do I add my monitoring remote Hosts Statistics to "Dashboard" and "Home" ?
Also, can you guide how to add your monitoring Hosts Statistics to "Views"

Thanks.

The local server statistics is a custom dashlet that pulls data right off the server that XI is running on, not from the monitoring engine.

It is not possible to add what you are looking for but you can add many of the items found in XI to the dashboard, you just want to look for the icon shown below

Most Sys Admins want to see a quick statistics performance summary of their hosts in a same graph as for the local server. In fact, why not pull server statistics from the monitoring engine into nice graph summary like the one that pulls data right off the server? The info is there!

There are a lot of options, the choice is really yours. the Nagios Exchange has a ton of different addons, as well as XI has been designed in such a way that you can add custom Components, Dashlets, Config Wizards, Plugins etc.

My only point in the previous message was that the "Local Statistics" isn't available for the Remote hosts because it is made in such a way that it pulls the info straight from the server.

You certainly could design a dashlet that is exactly what you are looking for, XI is that flexible.
