Re: NNA installation Error

Post by lmiltchev »

Is this system registered to Red Hat Subscription Management? Only the epel repo is enabled... I don't even see the rhel-x86_64-server-6 repo. This is probably why the prerequisites failed to install.

Can you successfully run the following commands?

Code: Select all

yum clean all
yum update

Hi Lmiltchev,

Apologies for the delay in responding. I got that RHEL subscription done and php installed to the advised one.

NNA is now successfully installed, wanted to check on few details.

While creating a source. under Sender IP address, can we add multiple IP's for a single port.
Like if I wanted to add 10.10.11.1, 10.10.11.2, 10.10.11.3 under the sender IP for the port 1111?
If we can add, what we would be delimiter to separate them is it (comma, or any other).

Please advise, thanks.

Re: NNA installation Error

Glad to hear NNA is installed.

Sorry, only one IP per port - you cannot have multiple IPs per port.

From page 2 of this doc:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... 1456514247

Sender IP Address
Must be unique and valid. This is the IP address of the NetFlow sender

Listening Port
Must be unique and over port 1024.
This is the port that the NetFlow sender is using to send data

Thanks a lot for the information Wallace.

I am unable to add a source.

I have clicked on add source --> gave the name --> kept sender IP Blank --> Gave the port number --> And saved the file.

Unable to start that from portal as well. please advise. thanks

For some reason rrdtool was not installed:

Code: Select all

ImportError: No module named rrdtool

To correct, navigate to the directory from which you ran the NagiosNa installer package from and run these commands:

Code: Select all

tar xf rrdtool-1.4.9.tar.gz
cd rrdtool-1.4.9
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --disable-perl
make
make install
rm rrdtool-1.4.9 -rf
..then see if you can add a source.

Re: NNA installation Error

Post by tgriep »

Lets try and remove this package as it may be conflicting with the NNA server.

Code: Select all

yum remove rrdtool-python
Then run this to reinstall the rrdtool and see if that works.

Code: Select all

tar xf rrdtool-1.4.9.tar.gz
cd rrdtool-1.4.9
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --disable-perl
make
make install
rm rrdtool-1.4.9 -rf
Another option, you can download and use the Pre-loaded VMWare OVA file for this.
