SQL Server Profiler monitoring within nagios xi?

Post by abpro »

Hello everyone
I have a question I hope to get an answer since I would appreciate it
Well I have done monitoring of mssql server systems such as mssql query or mssql data base within nagios xi my question is
I want to go in more detail to carry out a more complete monitoring since the options that nagios gives me for mssql server, query, data base, only monitor transactions for seconds.

So I wanted to know if within nagios I can enter or perform a monitoring through the SQL SERVER PROFILER tool within nagios xi, that nagios can monitor the activities in the instances of SQLserver where you can be tracked or if there is any option to enter SQL SERVER PROFILER inside nagios xi

Hi,
We are NOT a DBA here, so most of us will not know how SQL Server Profiler works.

However, I did a little research and realized that SQL Trace and SQL Server Profiler are deprecated.

Code: Select all

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server.
Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

Use Extended Events instead.
You could try searching the Nagios Exchange page:
