HELP! Hosts not showing up!

Post by oryfoxer7410 »

Hosts are not showing up on my Nagios. I have configured the monitoring through Nagios Core Config Manager and everything appears to be working as it should, however, in the Nagios xi page, I cannot see my hosts.

If you open Nagios Core config manager, the hosts are there, but not when you try to view through Nagios xi. This is an issue b/c we have a TV we want to have all of our servers information on. Please, help me. I downloaded the VHD from Nagios and have checked the permissions which appear to be okay.

Below is the log of the config transfering. Please help, I cannot purchase Nagios unless I can get it working.

My settings for the NagiosQL are default.

Could you give this a go:

It looks like MySQL got corrupted somehow.

Are you able to get an "Apply Configuration" to complete successfully? The hosts won't show up unless the configuration passes verification and Nagios is restarted.

Yes, when i apply configuration, I get all green symbols. Everything appears to be working correctly and I don't have any errors i can see.

oryfoxer7410,

It seems like your database got corrupted. Did you try the suggestion of nscott?

Maybe you didn't see his post - it was on the second page. I merged your two topics because it is easier to follow up when we keep it in one place.

No i didn't. I am going to try that now. I'll report back with the results.

I did redownload the Nagios VHD and imported. Then I did auto-discovery on a fresh VHD without changing any settings. After it completed, it did the same thing. The Hosts showed up in Core Manger, but not on the main page of Nagiosxi. So, I am not sure what would cause this. I had shut down the other Nagios VM, then Set the new one up with the same IP. I didn't change any settings and still had the same results.

Any Thoughts?

From your logs it looks like the MySQL tables crashes which would cause the symptoms you were talking about. Please try repairing the database.
