Nagios Log Server has the ability to trigger an alert using queries set up on the dashboard. Queries use the standard Nagios thresholds to determine if an alert is triggered. Sending an email is the most common alert method, but NLS can also send alerts to a Nagios xi system, execute a script, or send a SNMP trap.
Setting up alerts is covered in our Alerting on Log Events With Nagios Log Server document.
