(1) take a clean Nagios xi install
(2) install NagVis using the script from http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... -Nagvis.sh
(3) you will not be able to apply configuration changes any more (Config - Apply Changes). No error is thrown, timestamp of the last change is shown correctly, but config files remain unchanged. It is still possible to write config files using Tools - Write Config Files.

Starting a re-test of this now - I'll let you know if I can confirm this.

Re: Installing NagVis corrupts xi installation
I'm afraid I can't reproduce your issue. Odds are whatever you're experiencing isn't actually related to NagVis.

What operating system, OS version, architecture, and xi version are you working with?

Re: Installing NagVis corrupts xi installation
xi is currently 1.3 E. We have started (one more time) from 1.3D VM-Image some days ago. Browsers are IE 8 (not used for configuration any more) and Firefox 3.6
This time, I installed NagVis on a separate machine, connected via ndomy. As we have noticed today, NagVis is for sure not to blame - the changes are not written any more as described above, although NagVis is not present.
We have taken a screen capture of this phenomenon -> s. attached.
I have tried to find out, if NagioSQL has a problem, but there is no specific log for it...

I'm afraid I can't view your attachment. Could you try creating is as an MPEG or Theora perhaps?

unfortunatly had to i compress it with 7zip, because boards only allows 2MB as an attachment ..
7zip can be downloaded here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z465.exe

Since the other thread has a more accurate title, let's follow up there. (http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... f=6&t=1155, for any onlookers)
