Problems after upgrade to 2011R1.9

Post by hhlodge »

I upgraded from 1.5 yesterday and the update portion went without a hitch, but I have a few issues now.

1. I got hundreds of warnings for services not having check or notification periods defined. It's as if the 24x7 settings I had in my templates got removed or replaced. I've already addressed this.

2. The pie chart values are still mangled when the pie slices are small and cause them to seemingly overlap. I thought this was to be addressed long ago.

3. Performance graphs suddenly will not display on Firefox on Windows, where I've always viewed them. I just get a spinning wheel. They display after a brief delay with IE and also on Firefox and Chrome on Ubuntu. So no idea on that one.

Thanks.

Click on a timeperiod to view the graphs (4 hour view). I think it's just a session variable that needs to be reset in FF.

Odd, after a fresh morning reboot of XP, it initially was hanging - only seeing the 'Add to Dashboard' icon link and the spinning icon. And then suddenly it started working. I'll keep at it to see if it continues to be problematic. While I was there, I decided to look at the Custom Period option and found two issues. When I click on the calendar, any attempt to select the previous month, just closes the calendar. This occurred with a couple different browsers. Also, once I get a date range in and hit Go, all graphs are presented, not just the one I would assumed was the focus of the custom period.

Thanks for the heads up, the issue with custom dates redirecting back to the "All Host graphs" page is a confirmed bug, reported below. I'll add a note to the tracker about the months issue as well.

Thanks. Is the mangled pie chart values on the radar?

I could have sworn we had a tracker item listed for this issue, but for some reason I can't find it now. Just to verify, are you still seeing this issue with 1.9 as well?

I am indeed, with all browsers. I also just found another issue. When I first log in and get the Notices popup window, if I click on the Unhandled links for hosts or services, I get the following error.

This for sure was a reported bug and will be fixed in the next release. See
http://tracker.nagios.com/view.php?id=208

there is information there if you would like to make the fix before the next release.
