High Disk I/O - Change configuration
We have high disk I/O on our Nagios XI server running Redhat. Everything is writing to / and /var directories. We have a high performance disk /U01 that we would like to use instead. What are the steps to configure Nagios XI to write to the high performance disk?

Re: High Disk I/O - Change configuration
We don't have an exact procedure for this, but from other discussions I've had people will mount some key directory locations to the new disk so that the directory locations remain the same, or they'll just symlink the directories to the new disk. Make sure you create a backup of your system before moving or symlinking anything, most of the directories that use high disk IO are also the most important to Nagios.

Here are the high disk IO culprits. Don't delete any of the files or directories in these paths.
/usr/local/nagios/var -> nagios logs and check results
/usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata -> nagios performance data for graphs
/var/lib/mysql/nagios -> Nagios status database
