Understanding Notification Escalations
This document describes how to set up host and service escalations in Nagios xi. Escalations are triggered when a configurable amount of notifications have been sent out for a given host or service problem. During an escalation, notifications are sent to another set of contacts so as to automatically “escalate” the issue to another level of support. Escalations provide a means to ensure that the right people are notified of the right issues at the right times.
