our management is interested to know the full capability of nagios xi on monitoring on application level - say for example java applications. kindly provide us the strength and limitation of nagios xi on this. thanks.

there have been a quite a few addons created to monitor Java applications and services. In the end, it all comes down to that part of the application you want to monitor, and often there is already a plugin created.

Additionally, xi is very versatile, if a plugin doesn't currently exist, one could be made pretty easily if there is a way to get the data you want out of the Java app.
