Issues Nagios xi Wizards

Post by igarcia »

Hi there,

I'm new user with NAGIOSxi but Advanded user with Nagios Core, I'm going to migrate my old nagios core installation to new Nagios xi Enterprise.
I'm using a Physical Server with Nagiosxi installed manually.

This is my conf:
HP DL 360 G7, 16GB RAM, 2xQuad Cores
RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.6 x86_64
Manual Installation Nagiosxi
Aplication and Databases are installed in FC Disk (CLARiiON CX4)

The problem:
-----------------
I've problems with all wizard, when I create some service from a wizard and apply to add it to nagiosxi, the message is "Configuration Request Successful"
But It doesn't appears in nagiosxi and no changes are made in conf files.

Any ideas?

Best Regards.

Ivan.-

You probably already read some information on how to migrate from Core to Nagios xi, but in case you didn't, check out the information from the Nagios xi Administrator Guide:
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ngfromcore
Can you elaborate on what kind of wizards did you try in particular (that didn't work for you)? Can you post a screenshot, so we can take a look at it?

Hi lmiltchev,

I've problems with all wizards, It doesn't work none. In Nagioxi GUI seems all OK, but no changes are done in configuration files.
I've tested Server Windows, Server Linux, Printer ... wizards with no luck.

I've not yet migrated any configuration file from old nagios core.

Run in terminal (as root):
# /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reset_config_perms

Try running a wizard. If it fails again, post the error message you are getting or a screenshot.
