Hi,
I have noticed that after importing users(11 users) from AD, our Nagios xi httpd crashed.
We have Integrated Our Nagios xi with Nagios Fusion. We also have implemented HA with DRBD cluster.
We noticed that the failover also takes 15 minutes. So, the Nagios xi recovery happens only after 15 minutes.
Can you please help us understand why the http process went down and also, how to ensure that the failover happens quickly?
Thanks & Regards,
Ashok

When you say HTTPD crashed, what specifically occurred, did the process stop running? Did it failover to the other system? What did you need to do to fix it?
The HA/DRBD/PCS/CRM functionality would be something you'd need to work with Linbit/DRBD/PCS/CRM support on as they are the ones that support their products.

Re: Nagios xi httpd going down after importing users
Actually, I didn't have to do anything. Our Nagios xi instance failed over to another server. It started working from another node all fine.
However, I noticed that this happened when I added a few users. I saw this happening earlier as well, when I added more than 10 users, from AD.
So, want to know if you know of a cause for such issues of HTTP process stopping.

Re: Nagios xi httpd going down after importing users
When you add users the nagios process restarts after each time you add a user, I bet your failover script is detecting the nagios process restarting and treating it as failed and failing the system over.
