Post by shanta »

Hi All,

I am new to Nagios and have downloaded nagios xi on my system. As per manual installation process changed through command prompt changed to the dir /tmp/nagiosxi and when try to run command fullinstall got the message "fullinstall is not a recognized command". Is the Linux is required to have on the system for the nagios application. Please help me, i am not able to install it successfully.

Yes, you need Linux to run Nagios xi.

Nagios xi is currently supported with the following Linux distributions for both 32 and 64 bit installations:

CentOS 5 / 6
RHEL 5 / 6

Please, let us know if you have any more questions.

Thank you!

Additionally, you can run Nagios xi in VMware Player on a Windows machine

We have this documented this here

You can download our VMware Virtual Machine here

Hope this helps
