We are looking to give a customer a view of their servers but need to remove the left hand menu items and limit the top menu so that the default page will give them the view as agreed

Previously I have pointed out that client side CSS configuration could perform these tasks, however I get the feeling that in this instance it would not be appropriate.
Might I suggest Privoxy.
I'll also bring this up at our meeting today, perhaps in the future you'll see a Privoxy integration manual.

The actual content portion of the page is presented using an IFRAME, so you could simply take the code for the front page and strip out everything you don't want. You can find out the URL of any embedded page by clicking the "popout" button in the upper right corner.
