Unable to start npcd service on nagios xi

version 5.8.1
unable to start the npcd service. attached are the logs
systemctl status npcd.service

What's the output from the following commands?

grep = /etc/rc.d/init.d/npcd
ls -la /usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/
ls -la /usr/local/pnp4nagios/etc/
