Bulk Import / Switch Wizard - Resulting Bandwidth graph

Post by kenb »

I have a bunch of network devices that I wish to monitor services on. I ran into an issue after adding about half, the bandwidth graphs from the nodes I imported using the bulk import point to the source original rrd. If thats confusing, I've done the following;

1. Using the Network Switch / Router wizard I added a host X, ping, and port bandwidth graphs for each port.
2. Using the Bulk Import wizard I added like devices (Y, Z, etc) selecting ping and ports I wanted to monitor
3. The devices were added but all the bandwidth graphs showed the same results. Looking at there configs, they are reading the rrd for device X instead of Y, Z, etc.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this without reinvesting a day or two of work?

Thank you

Unfortunately, one of the only thing that the bulk import wizard cannot be used for is to copy items created with the Switch/Router Wizard.

The reason for this is that the switch/router wizard adds to the mrtg.cfg file when it is run, and the mrtg file creates the rrd files.
