Hi, we are running Nagios xi 20011 1.7 and recenly begin to get the same problem for many services when Acknowledgement status changes randomly in Nagios xi views - say from warning/acknolewledged to warning and again to warning/achnowledged and so on. The same service remains marked as achnowledged in Nagios Core view. I pretty sure that status for the service remains the same, it just acknowledgement disapears reglulary in nagios xi view. We need to find the solution to fix it ASAP, our monitoring procedures are achnowledgement based.
P.S. It´s could be that Acknowledgements dissapears also in Nagios Core view, but for much shorter period of time...

Can you post a couple of screenshots with "warning" and "warning/acknowledged" status so we can clarify what screen you are talking about? Thanks!

Re: Acknowledgement dissapears in xi but still exists in Cor
Hi, I took two screenshots at the same time of the same service - status is Warning in Nagios Core but Warning/Acknowledged in Nagios xi. Apperiances in both interfaces (Core and xi) are changing in between Warning and Warning/Achnowledged without the state of the service actually changing within the period of time, but wrong state (without Acknowledgement) stays much longer in Nagios xi

kariroman,
Did you change anything in Nagios Core in relation to this host/services? We had the same (or similar) issue ("Acknowledgements lost after applying a new configuration in the CCM") posted on our bug tracker. You can read about it here:

No, I took both screenshots at the same time.

So far we haven't been able to recreate this problem. How often does it happen? How long does it usually take before the acknowledgement disappears in xi?

This problem begins after we moved mysql database Nagios is using to the dedicated mysql server. Since than Nagios xi and Nagvis maps (which we are using heavily) show aclnowledged statuses as un-acknowledged periodically.

Kariroman,
I've got an offloaded server that I'm testing. What is the frequency in which it happens?

Re: Acknowledgement dissapears in xi but still exists in Cor
I am seeing acknowledments dissapear (in xi, nagvis) within a minute after the status was acknowledged but it´s happens occasionally - not always the same service misses it´s acknowledgement, so it´s not really easy to report/indentify...

Can you verify that the time is synced on both servers? Both NagVis and xi grab data from the ndoutils backend, while the Core interface is reading acknowledgments and comments from the status.dat file.
