Configuring Passive Services With Nagios xi
This document describes how to configure passive service checks within Nagios xi. Passive checks are data that external applications submit to Nagios for the purpose of monitoring and alerting. Passive checks reduce the load on your Nagios xi server by reducing the number of actives checks run. Passive checks are also useful for security-related and asynchronous events you wish to monitor.
