Manual Install of Nagios xi without an internet connection

Post by mspangler »

All:

I am attempting to setup and Nagios xi server and have tried running the fullinstall script and the individual scripts manually.

It appears as though all of the pre-reqs that 1-prereqs attempts to install are being downloaded from the internet. My problem is that I am on a disconnected system that does not have access to the internet. Does anyone know of a build that can be manually installed that has all of the pre-reqs combined in the download?

Thanks

This isn't available at this time.

If your system can connect through a proxy, we do have some information available on setting that up at

@scottwilkerson

Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately even a proxy connection will not be possible.

So I guess the only way around this is to install a Nagios xi server on a VMware VM or Microsoft VM?

At this time that's correct. Our VM comes with Nagios xi pre-installed.

We tried doing an offline installer, but found it almost impossible to support due to additional security restrictions on users' installation platforms. Most users who require an offline install can't use a clean base install of RHEL or CentOS. Users are welcome go attempt to dissect the install scripts and set it up on their own, but we're unable to support the installation process.
