Re: Multi tenancy
Yes! We actually just published documentation on multi-tenancy, which you can get at http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... -nagios-xi (you will need a (free) Library account).

Multi-Tenancy
There is a relatively recent document describing how to set up multi-tenancy with XI available at http://bit.ly/cFsR0V . This allows an administrator to set up different users to only see certain subsets of hosts and services, both as a matter of access rights and simplifying the view to what is relevant for each user.
From the description,
"The ability to configure Nagios to monitor multiple clients' systems, while segregating user permissions and access rights, is an important feature for many organizations and managed service providers. This guide shows you how to configure Nagios XI to support multi-tenancy."

User management in nagiosxi
Hello,
In my company there are many users which would like to have an access to nagios. However they would like to see only the status and performance data of hosts and services that they are responible for. Is it possible to create a user, and then link him to the group of services, and hosts. If it is possible could you give me a pice of advice how to do it.
Thank you for the reply.
Piotr.

Yes, Piotr. That is exactly what this the linked document describes - what still needs clarification after reading it?

Hello,
Thank you for help, it was very helpful. However one thing seems to be problamatic. When I have added a contact group to a service a user saw that service on all the hosts where that service is being monitored. Is it possible to limit this to only few chosen hosts??

Re: User management in nagiosxi
Make the user a contact for the host instead. Limiting a user to only select services on a host requires an additional service.
