Hi,
I have configured a switch using wizard after configuring the switch, some of ports on Bandwidth showing rrd does not exist "unknown" status.
“/var/lib/mrtg/10.10.10.1_119.rrd does not exist"
Let me know if anything needs to checked on this.
Regards,
Raj.

Re: rrd does not exist
This is normal behavior for about 10 minutes, until the rrd is created.
If you have run the wizard before on the same switch/router there are additional steps outline in this document
http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... -or-router

Re: rrd does not exist
Hi Scottwilkerson,
I have tried below steps, however issue still persists. Let me know if you want me to check further on this. Thanks!!
1. Removed the mrtgscan scan file from the /usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp folder
2. Removed all traces of the previous switch configuration from the /etc/mrtg/mrtg.conf
3. Verified syntax of the mrtg.cfg file
4. Reran the Switch/Router Monitoring Wizard, but still getting the rrd does not exist.
Regards,
Raj.

Re: rrd does not exist
After re-running the wizard, if you look in your /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg can you see an item labeled?
If not, then this particular port on the switch must not exist any longer
Code: Select all
Target[10.10.10.1_119]

Its really making confuse??? Port status is fine only bandwidth shows unknown..where would be problem???

Re: rrd does not exist
If that line isn't in the /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg the port isn't being monitored for bandwidth.
How many port switch or router is this?
Is the status that is OK for port 119?

Re: rrd does not exist
There is no line for Target[10.10.10.1_119] and i can able to see the status for the 10.10.10.1_119 port, it shows STATUS OKAY. There are 166 ports over this. Some of ports unchecked while configuration.
We have also tried with the http://support.nagios.com/wiki/index.ph ... h_Problems, however still problem persists.
Refer this topic Problems with Host Performance graphs and Bandwidth - http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... h&start=20
same this issue which im facing too..
We are using RHEL 5.0 Nagios XI R2011 R2.4
One more thing, after performing the steps i couldn't see the performance graphs for all of my switch/routers. Let me know whats the wrong over this???

Raj

Re: rrd does not exist
This is strange, did port 119 show up in the list when you re-ran the wizard?gm_rajkumar wrote:There is no line for Target[10.10.10.1_119]
