Hi,
My setup is Nagios xi on VM version 1.8. I would like to monitor SNMP traps from all my DELL servers for any hardware related issues. I currently have the DELL Openmanage CW installed however I do not get all the SNMP alerts generated. The status on the Dell Openmanage changes as required however this isnt enough to tell me exactly what's going on (e.g. Server disk failure, emory failures, etc)
I have also configured the SNMP Trap config wizard in Nagios however this only gives me a "Waiting for Trap" message. We do however have another SNMP monitoring server and this receives all the hardware snmp alerts successfully.
Is there something I need to configure so i can receive the snmp alerts?
Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Re: SNMP Traps in Nagios xi
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I have indeed used this document and ensured that there are no firewall rules blocking any traffic to the Nagios Server. However, I am still unable to receive any traps from all my servers.
Is there anywhere on the Nagios server i can check if it receives any traps?
Any help is appreciated.

Please mark as resolved.
snmptt.ini had strip_domain =1 ; changed to 0 and it works ok now.
