Just out of curiosity, can you see if you get the same results when you use the non-unified hostgroup / servicegroup dashlets? Access the Admin->Performance settings page, an uncheck each of the boxes and see if the permissions are being displayed correctly.

I believe we've got a winner here :-)

All boxes unchecked and permissions on the frontend are perfect! Our legacy nagios users prefer the other style...so how do we get this working using the previous view?

Ok, I added this to our bug list. We'll look at recreating this on our end and see if we can get a fix applied.
