Disk space running out on xi VM

Post by jon.bilderback »

I'm at 5% disk space free right now on the vm.

the results from "du -h --max-depth=2" show me the following concerns:
  • 3.7G ./usr
    1.8G ./usr/local/nagios/share
    599M ./usr/share
    686M ./usr/lib
    101M ./usr/src

    -and-
    335M ./var/lib.mysql
    2.4G./var/log/httpd
I'm looking into reducing the size of those folders.

- Is there anything I need to be careful about removing from those?
- Is there a way to grow the size of the drive, or should i look at reducing the retention of log files?

Thanks,

Jon

You have be really careful with removing files... We have a document that deals with the resizing the VM Disk size:
