Hi ,

Due to historical choices I have a lot of hostnames some all capitals, some all lower case.
Is there some sort of batch function that I can use to change all Hostnames to lower case?

The recommended process would be for you to use Configure > Tools > Bulk Renaming Tool and rename the hosts through that method. Using that method will also rename all of the associated performance data files in the backend to match as well so you don't lose your historical graphs/objectnotes/etc.
