Install Nagios xi in new path

Hi,

how to install nagios xi in different location. by default installation happened in /usr/local. i cannot find any information regarding this. please suggest!!!

Why would you install it anywhere else? Maybe if we understand your driver we can suggest a better solution.

I believe there could be many side affects of changing this and it would not be recommended.

We are using RHEL6.3 and plan to do the Nagios setup in failover move. So we need this installation should be happen in the shared storage. Then only we can map the data to another machine once this server is down.

Why it is not possible with Nagios xi as it’s already possible with Nagios Core?

There are users who have done this, but understand that it is not an install that we would support. Could you just mount or symlink the /usr/local/nagiosxi directory to the shared storage? This would preserve the directory structure and keep the install supportable.
