Hey guys,
i hope you can help me, we have purchased Nagios xi and everything is working fine till last week.
Now when i start the Server i get following message: "Kernel panic - attempting to kill init" and nothing goes on
The Server is running on a VMWare and it has a CentOS running on it.
Maybe you can help me how i can fix this problem... we got one problem before this one, the Database turned off some times!
Best regards,
pste

Re: Problem with Nagios xi booting
This could be caused by not enough memory being allocated to the VM. How much memory is allocated to your VM?
As for Customer support access, you should email sales@nagios.com with your forum username as well as your customer id and they will get it setup.

Did you build your own VM or did you use the pre-built one from Nagios?

Re: Problem with Nagios xi booting
As far as installation on a VM, as is directed by documentation only install on a clean supported operating system which meets at minimum the minimal system requirements listed for Nagios xi, though at least 1 GB of memory is highly recommended. All in house tech's follow this rule as well.
