NagiosXI 2024R1.1.3 | Ramdisk missing post upgrade

Post by snapier3 »

noticed missing graph data on a recently upgraded instance of 1.1.3.
While troubleshooting I noticed that my graphs stopped populating at the time of upgrade to 1.1.3 unable to write to the configured ramdisk which disappeared.

I resolved the issue by re running the install_ramdisk.sh script with the previously used settings.

Hey Sam, thanks for reaching out. I appreciate the report, and have filed an issue for it. We'll see if we can get a repro in the next day or two.

Hi Sam,

I was unable to reproduce this issue on my own systems, unfortunately. We'll keep this issue logged in our system for tracking so that we can continue to look into it as more information becomes available.

Second instance of this issue last night.

Manual upgrade
RHEL 8.9
LVE Storage

I'll speak to my platform team and make sure there isn't anything in the environment that would prune the storage automatically.

For sanity I re-ran my test -- Installed XI version 1.1.2 on RHEL 8.6, set up a 2GB Ramdisk, then upgraded to XI version 1.1.3. Following the upgrade, I wasn't able to find any graphs/reports that weren't loading properly.

Yeah I don't think it's you guys either, I've been through this with my group and we can't find anything that we think would have done it either.
Will update if we get anything new...
