Trevor,

It is my understanding that in v1.x there is you can use either Mysql or
Postgress. I prefer Mysql. V2.x this was removed from the core-project.
I think they wanted to push that off the core development team and get
someone to write it. Also, 2.x will not even compile on Unix (AIX, HPUX,
or AT&T Unix) platforms. Visit these websites:

http://nagmin.sourceforge.net/features.htm This is a very good package
that does analysis and forms based management of the data using Mysql,
RDDtool, and Nmap. It even does auto-discovery.

For 2.x Mysql integration visit this website:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/nagiosql/ Siilar to Nagmin, but I have not
tried it yet.

Also checkout the Nagios exchange at
http://www.nagiosexchange.org/Categories.7.0.html. This is where you can
find a whole lot of Nagios add-on projects. A very good resource for
Nagios users.

Thanks,

Hello guys/gals,

Is it possible to store the various values for monitored
parameters(Cpu Load - Memory - Disk Usage - Swap USage - etc) in a DB
(MySQL/PostgreSQL) for MIs purposes such that one can draw MIs reports
for the management as and when required.

Is there any module for nagios that does this?. Has anyone done this
or seen this done before. I would love to help out where possible
since i have a very urgent need to provide such a solution at my
workplace on these lines.

Thanks in advance. Take care and have a great day all.

Trevor
