Re: Kibana 4
Vague answer from a few weeks ago, but probably still valid. Do you want me to talk to the same developer and make sure nothing has changed in 3 weeks?

Re: Kibana 4
I talked with the developers and they said that you could use kibana 4 to view the Nagios Log Server elasticsearch cluster but there is no plan to upgrade to kibana 4 since it's a step back in a lot of ways.

Re: Kibana 4
how would i do the install with out breaking my NLS?
what are the drawbacks?
All I would want from it is the new graphs.

Re: Kibana 4
I'm interested too. It seems in Kibana 4 it is possible to plot several field values in one histogram, see also this thread http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... 3&start=10 which I really want.

Re: Kibana 4
Not sure it will work, since K4 seems to need ES v1.4.4 and we have 1.3.2:

Re: Kibana 4
As trevor stated we would need to upgrade elasticsearch for it to work with it. It's worth pointing out that we do plan on updating it at some point, whether it be to kibana 4 or something down the road - or at the very least implement the features from 4 into 3. When kibana 4 came out we didn't like that it requires it's own server which was originally a ruby/java implementation but they changed it recently to no longer use java so that makes it more likely we would upgrade down the line. It hasn't been decided yet since we are still focusing on working on some new things for our other products at the moment but we have looked into it.
