I will have to speak to my team and draw up some sort of an RFE for this, I will let you know once I have done that and then you can quote us and I will go back to my management and let them know.
Many Thanks

Re: Nagios BPI -Doesnt honour xi user Permissions
Hi Mike,
This is the feedback I have got from Management regarding this, they consider this to be a very basic function of the system and have found lots of open source alternatives (didnt want to name it but... opsview , icinga etc) which already provide this out of the box, for me I think fixing and providing support for multi-tenancy is the most important bit, rest would be improvement of the UI like making it look a little more neater.
If this is just a simple feature request for providing support for multi-tenancy how long do you reckon its going to take?
Many Thanks
Arnab

The actual development time wouldn't be too bad, it's more a matter of project priorities. I'll continue discussion on this end, but I'm pretty sure this will be a built-in feature of xi 2012 with the user-level authorization and a few updates. It's possible it would happen before then, but as I said, some of it depends on project schedules and priorities.

Hi Mike,
Any ideas or plans when 2012 / this feature might get released, sorry to be a pain but if we know the rough time frames that would be brilliant!
Cheers

A goal that's been discussed on this end, and it's not set in stone yet, would be to have an enterprise version of BPI that ships with xi starting with the 2012 release. The 2012 release of xi would come out sometime in January. That's as much of an ETA as we can give at the moment.
