Performance graphs (Week/Month/Year)
Does Nagios XI auto generate these performance graphs after a week/month/year has passed? Right now only one graph shows on the Performance graphs tab, and it shows the past few days. Or is there something I need to configure? PNP 0.4.14/RRDTool in our old Nagios environment had a Service Overview page that had the graph like is shown on Performance graphs tab, plus one each for week/month/year.

You can select the time range for viewing the performance graphs on the selection list to the right of the graphs.
Our next release will also have the ability to define "start" and "stop" times for graph viewing. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thank you. May I also suggest that you add these Time Selections to the Performance graphs tab for each host/service? As it is, there's far too much clicking involved to change time selection if you're coming from the host's performance graph tab (Performance graph Tab-More Performance graphs-Time Selection) whereas it could be (Performance graph Tab-Time Selection).

I agree, there is a certain amount of clicking that needs to happen each time you need a particular performance graph. That's not a bad idea having the time selections on the Performance graph tab. If you want you can log that as a feature request on our tracker: http://tracker.nagios.com. Another method I've also used if you're consistently needing a particular set of graphs is to create a dashboard with specific graphs you need and the timeline that you're looking for. This doesn't work as well if you need to see this for hundreds of hosts or services, but if you've got a specific few that you're watching.

Another graph thing - the old PNP has this magnifying glass with "Zoom into the graph" feature. Where is that in XI?

That doesn't actually exist in NagiosXI, it's been replace by the specific time settings, and the newest XI version also lets you specify the end date.

Not sure if I understand the end date. How about instead of end date, you have start datetime and end datetime? Even if it's manual instead of the GUI magnifying glass, it would meet the need. An example use case is: "I want to see the graph for xyz service between 11am and 2pm on 10/10/10."

Re: Performance graphs (Week/Month/Year)
From what I understand, you would specify the end date, and select your time setting like 24 hours, so it will give a 24 hours timeperiod ending with your assigned end date.
However, we did have a user create a mod for that page that does what you're asking. We haven't integrated it yet as an installable component, but it's on our developer TODO list.
