Availability Reports

Hello,

I am running Nagios XI on a virtual machine. I have recently upgraded to XI1.9 and now the availability reports are coming up with a pie graph sum of pie graph is 0: I select a time frame and then select a host or hostgroup and attached is what is the output of what the pie graph is normally. Is this an error on my part or an error in Nagios?

Do you get the same result if you use different browsers? The JPgraph (javascript library), which is what that reporting tool uses is not recommended for use with IE.

Yes same result in IE, Chrome, and Firefox, could it have something to do with Java then?

We will have to do some more digging into it. So far, we have been able to reproduce this error ONLY by selecting an "invalid" interval ("From" and "To" fields) for the Custom Period filter.

Examples of how to recreate this issue:
Any field empty ("From" or "To")
"From: 12/5/2011 To: 12/1/2011" instead of: "From: 12/1/2011 To: 12/5/2011"
"From: 12/1/2012 To: 12/5/2011" instead of: "From: 12/1/2011 To: 12/5/2011"
etc.

Please, double check your defined period to make sure there are no similar errors. Meanwhile, we will do some more testing. Thanks!

I checked the dates and they are correct but sometimes it will show a different error. The way the pie graphs looks is that the hosts were down 100% of the time. The host data pie graph looks like the attached file and the host data is as follows:

So, none of the Hosts have names and then the same goes for the services where the Hosts now have names but the services do not. The service pie graph is correct.

We have the same problem - if I create Availability report limited to Service group, there will appear some Hosta data:

So none of the hosts have names and it is same at the Service data - the names of hosts are there but the names of services are not there.
Also if I want to download reprot as a pdf, it will write there all hosts we have in Nagios XI - why all hosts when I limited the report for service group.

This is a known bug that is fixed in the next release (maybe a couple weeks)
